Jacket - made it a bit too small. DX Nothing I can do about it now. Ruffles and lace have been added, still waiting for the gimp braid to arrive so that I can put that on, too, for extra bling. Need a method of fastening in the front. Thinking about using hook & eye.

Cuffs - done except for the gimp braid. After adding that I will do the buttonholes (right now it's hard to judge where to put the holes). The cufflinks are ready and waiting. They're very loose and are supposed to be that way, so I'll need to think about how to keep them on my wrists later. Either velcroed to itself (not so pretty) or velcroed onto another tight cuff underneath (prettier), I guess.

Trousers - made. With a very neat hole in the back for Zidane's tail. Not sure if I should bother making the pocket on the left trouser leg. I might screw it up and this is the shiny version of Zidane anyway, and a pocket there might just look messy and out of place.

Pouch - is that a pouch or a sword sheath? No idea. Anyway, I've started making it. Have the base done using leather-looking vinyl plus real leather cut off from things I no longer want. Need to get craft foam to make the decorations.

Jewellery - earrings made on the same night I made the trousers. Pendant has been made with clay stuff, now waiting for it to dry so that it can be painted. It needs a necklace to go on, though.

Gloves - just gloves, not glove + biker-looking-things, since that doesn't suit this shiny Zidane. I already own a pair of gloves that's just right.

Inner shirt - tight sleeveless tee with collar, it seems. I'll put one together.

Shoes - not yet. Will get some cheap boots and modify.

Cravat - or whatever it is he's wearing around his neck. Trying to figure it out.

Tail - I know how I'm making it, just need to get the materials.

Swords - >DDDDDD Will talk about those later.

Good evening, I was reading Keira's 'The Awakening' and was wondering if anyone can rec more stories where Jim interacts with other Sentinels. Most stories I've read have just Jim.  Would like to see how he deals as the Sentinel Prime, meeting other sentinels , sentinel culture etc.  Yes I have read Susans GDP stories.  Any help would be great.

It seems like forever ago when I last saw this.

Can anyone predict when they're going to fall hard for a fandom? Because I'm terrible at it. Something could have everything I hope for from a fandom and I still might shrug and move on. It still surprises me after approximately eleven million years in fandom. I'm contrary to the point of being contrary with myself.

Case in point: the new Star Trek. I really thought that might turn out to be a fandom for me! I'm a casual fan of TOS without being fiercely attached to it, it has a large cast, it has character dynamics I like, and a lot of people I know got into it. I even joined a fic comm for awhile! But after about two weeks I shrugged and went to see what Ryan Ross was up to some more and never looked back.

Now I'm doing the same with Sherlock Holmes. I actually knew that wouldn't be a permanent stop for me just because the cast is too small and my favorite fandoms all have a million and ten character/pairing possibilities, but I thought I might want to read a fic or two! But no, apparently no interest, and I wandered off to read more of Secret Six, do a little chant to make more Greek fic magically appear, and of course see what Ryan Ross is up to.

Then I spent two hours rereading InuKai fic.

It's a short fic and it's told from the point of view of a younger couple watching an older Jim and Blair.   They were in a coffee shop and it is quite obvious that Jim and Blair are a couple.  The younger man whispers to his girlfriend something along the lines of  "I wonder if they have still have sex?"  As J&B leave, Jim leans down and says, "Yes and it's great".

I looked for an old!blair/jim or future!blair/jim and didn't find one.  Assuming I didn't miss it, this might be a good tag to have as I can think of several fics that would fit them.

So the worsening weather is gradually bringing Ireland and the UK to a standstill. It's kind of hilarious, in a way, especially if your method of public transport isn't affected by ice and snow. (Watch: now the tram will suddenly stop functioning and I'll have to walk home.)

Hello all! Happy 2010 to you. I hope your holidays were fabulous and that you ate too much and spent too much and had a grand old time. To those of you I sent cards to, I hope they arrived safely (if not on-time). If they haven't, they should soon. Hopefully. *Facepalm* I put it off way too long this year.

Overall, my holiday was awesome. ( More about my Christmas under the cut... )

So, my resolution is to update my LJ much more consistently this year, even when I have heavy stuff going on. I hate making rei_c worry, and goodness knows you guys love my RL posts, right? *Wink wink, nudge nudge*

What I'm thinking is maybe once a week at minimum? I can't commit to once a day like Rei does, but once a week sounds very do-able. Who knows, maybe spending more time on LJ will inspire me to write again! Or maybe it will just send me into another fic reading frenzy that lasts three months. *Shrug*

In a testament to how often my husband and I go grocery shopping, we ran up a $350 bill during our full-cart trip tonight. Can you say "this better last us till spring"? I knew you could. But on the plus side I now have 40 bottles of Snapple!

Hell yeah Lady GaGa gets a comic! Check out that Patrick Nagel-esque stylizing on the cover and everything. Who can resist a line that promises things like "Future issues will feature such personalities as Robert Pattinson, 50 Cent, David Beckham and Taylor Swift"? I ask you, who deserves his own bio comic more than Robert Pattinson? And think how jealous Kanye West is going to be when Lady GaGa, 50 Cent, and Taylor Swift all have their own comic books.

Finally, the year is over! 2009 (and 2008) wasn't a great year for me at all. So let's not dwell on that and instead, move foward! But if asked, things that will always remind me of 2009...

Not your typical resolution format, but hey, the old one's never done much for me. Sure I'd start on some things, but at most they'd usually be only half complete by next year. :/

Part of the idea came from my dad kept asking me where I'll be in 3-5 years. Really, I personally don't see the point in answering. I'm a fickle person, so I'll change my answer every couple of months. I'm sure my dad knows this too, why else would he ask every couple of months?! >_>

Aaaaand it's snowing. Again.
